I know he isn't a favourite but I have noticed that since Zac has been suspended the key position opposition forwards have had days out against us, with Patton kicking 6 goals, 5 to Tom Lynch and 7 Kennedy. Just throwing it out there.

I don't think Dawson would have done any better than Collins in any case but if you hadn't noticed the opposition has been all over us and delivering the ball forward at will the past few weeks. There's been little to be done back there let alone the fact we've been playing 1 tall short in defence over that time. Even today the likes of Mundy, Ibbo and Sutcliffe all found themselves on Patton at times.

The other thing that's hard to measure is how often Dawson turns it over for a goal to someone other than his opponent via his teammates having to cover for him and his inability to be included in the play or rebound from defence let alone Collins marking being far superior and resulting in an actual turnover unlike Dawson spoiling down to opposition crumbers to score as often happens.

Collins is best suited to a McGovern type role taking the intercept mark. We have played some decent teams of late, dont forget that.
