CA, I am big Morabito fan but feel the club has done the right thing by him.
I also hope he has some time left at the club but I am not convinced that his card has been marked and may be still at the club next year. In the current line up he will have very little chance of presenting himself in the best possible light anyway.
The other option may be that he has had enough himself, which would be understandable.

Okay DK if he's there next year, but I guess I don't share your optimism in that regard.

The problem DK is Sutcliffe was dropped for poor form and playing badly. He has done nothing to show any improvement since then or earn his recall. Mora has at least played the past few games at Peel on a back flank and shown a fair bit (specifically the last game).

Now Sutcliffe has had to do nothing to get his undeserved recall but it would appear Mora has no chance despite having done more for it and needing to be tested for a position on the senior list next year. There is zero reward in bringing Sutcliffe straight back into the side and plenty to lose in not giving Mora a chance to prove himself.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

Sadly, I also think Mora will be gone at the end of the year.
I think his body has just become too much of a risk for the club to continue to carry.
The stats I have been showing for Mora was more to show that he has not really had enough standout performances in the last 5 years. Had he produced 2 or 3 more really good games in the magoos this year, then I think Freo would give him another go in 2017, with the hope that his body settles and he can become a solid regular defender in the Seniors.
But at the moment, I think most of the team selections each week have a primary focus on 2017 and if the club already has a general belief that Mora will be cut, then unfortunately, playing Mora has little benefit for Freo 2017.

I look at their forwards then at our defenders and see an absolute bloodbath happening. Sad but true.

Bizkit, both you and I would like to believe that Sutcliffe got dropped for poor form, but I think it was more to just give a few of the younger players on the list a run. Freo need to get games in to the young fellows prior to 2017. Peel had a bye. Resting Sutcliffe for a week and playing a young player (eg. Hughes) may have been the reason for that. You'll notice that when they play Hughes, he gets maximum Time On Ground. Whereas somebody like Blakely in the midfield, is still being nursed and developed much slower.

Again, I'm no fan of Sutcliffe and given the choice of the current Sutcliffe or Morabito, I'd take Mora, but I can still understand why the Freo list managers would go the other way. Just because I claim to understand it and make a case for it, doesn't mean I like it.

We're still one game better than Essendon and only percentage above Brisbane - what doesn't everybody understand?

I can't understand why, when you fill out a form to tell a company that you no longer want to receive any emails from them, they confirm it by sending you another email.

I would prefer to see Apeness or Tabs at CHF and Mayne in a pocket. Likewise Sherrdan has shown himself in the last two weeks to be a much better player forward of the center playing his natural game. Sutcliffe I suspect would be of much more value to Freo if he played in the center, perhaps coming of the bench and changing with Mundy or whoever is playing there. Both of those guys have shown they struggle down back. I would rather have seen Clancy and DeBoer down back this week as they are good pressure players.

I wonder if next week players like de boer, clancee, muzungu, will get games as played a lot with Pav and maybe a farewell for them as well. Doesn't leave much room for Mora as Sandi in as well.

You play your way in and you play your way out.

Hopefully Pav gets a kick for Peel on the weekend or he might find himself disappointing.

Do you think Pav will nominate to play for Peel next year?
