The worst thing for me on the weekend was seeing three blokes that should have been on our list tear us new ones.
When we should have been at Basso Oval watching Rory Lobb closely to know he was a top 10 pick, not a rookie pick that we could pick up with no other club noticing, they would have noticed a little jet called Charlie Cameron.
How good has he become?

I know I have banged on about this before, but how on earth we didnt take the punt on Mitch McGovern after putting a line through his brother is equally as baffling.

The last one for me and the real dagger through the heart is watching Jake Lever dodge not one but two of our senior players and nailing a goal from 50.

If one of our second year KPPs did that we would be calling for the Rising Star to be pinned on his chest now.
We took Lachie Weller instead and Adelaide havent stopped laughing since.

I hope the drafting and talent ID is the first and major thing we review

The Lever one is still so baffling. I can understand the others somewhat because all the other clubs missed them as well. Another concern is our general refusal to draft anyone out of the wafl who is over 18.
I am prepared to give Lyon and the admin the benefit of the doubt. It is list management that has failed this club miserably. The review should also look at our terrible fitness base and our gym work. We seem undersized to me. People have different bodies but Zac Clarke and Naitanui entered the afl at the same time and I would be surprised if Clarke has put on a couple of kilos of muscle. West coast definitely seem to be able to bulk their players up quicker than us.

By this time in the season I have run out of any idea what the problem is, they seem to be everywhere. Until recent weeks I have been able to put my faith in, that we had a solid coach and the club seemed to be united in its front. Now players seem to be disgruntled, assistants are leaving, nothing of any consequence from the administration and the coach seems lost for any definitive answers or commit to any results.
I am going to try and hang tough, support as best I can.
It's been a long and difficult season to endure. The off season will be the same with very little to hang my hat on in the way of confidence other than blind faith.
Please recruit well get everybody on the same page and rebuild belief so that at least next year we can understand what is happening at the club we love.

Having a go at list management and past drafting is so easy in hindsight.

In 2014, Freo picked Lachie Weller at pick# 13. Jake Lever was picked at #14. Many here were declaring Weller as a future star less than 12 months ago, possibly the same ones now asking why we didn't pick Lever instead.
Lobb (2013 pick#29) appears to have been a good one missed, but Freo took Apeness (pick#17) and A.Pearce (pick#37) in that draft. It's still early days and injuries have delayed the progress of both of those players, neither of which appear to me to be bad picks.
Gone to bigfooty where there's fewer Docker Haters.

People are being very harsh on Lachie Weller who, I feel, will be a star performer in a full strength Freo lineup and Lever is a pretty good footballer but he's no champion, just a good solid defender and definitely no better than Alex Pearce.
