RM, just another example of the Slime bias you find in the AFL media;
The article tries to paint a picture that Ballas wants to go to the Slime because they are such an attractive club. It wrongly states "Ballantyne has requested a trade to cross-town rival West Coast ". On Tuesday and as quoted in a later AFL article, "I haven't asked for a trade and I haven't asked to be traded to any club".
I don't recall any recent recruits by the Slime, where Freo made an unsuccessful bid for that player, meanwhile Freo have the likes of Bennell and McCarthy who have strongly stated they wanted to come to Freo.
Then when the article finally makes mention of Tunbridge's suspension, they make it out to be just a tackle. "We thought he was still trying to dispose of the ball when he laid the tackle" ... What, does Simpson think Tunbridge got 2 weeks for a late tackle. Maybe somebody should show him the video footage of Tunbridge slamming the guy into the dirt. Nevermind there was no mention of the fact that one week of the three week suspension was also for a second report of striking a player off the ball. ... Let me guess, Tunbridge was just brushing some dirt off the struck players jumper was he?
