What amazed me about the "goal" was that the goal umpire standing 7 metres away 90 degrees to the path of the ball was in a better position to judge whether the ball hit the post than the camera in line with the path of the ball. If you are going to have these idiot video reviews, at least take notice of what they show and act accordingly. Not use them to shaft clubs and players to suit your own biased agenda.
Freo have copped more than their fair share of false positives from these reviews to go along with the players who duck into the toilets at the back of the stands, taking the footy with them before running back into the field of play and kicking a goal.
Saying that it didn't cost us the game is crap. It does sometimes cost us the game. Most times it just pisses off the supporters, damages the phones in the coaches box and makes fellas like Balla's Mikey and Fyfe do things that earn the 50 mt or a couple of weeks rest. That still does not make it okay. It is wrong and should be judged so by the poor excuse we have for sports media.
