It's a terrible logo by any standard (the swan doesn't even wave with the flag) but I imagine it was a product of the humble origins of the company. Which tells me that Dale Alcock must have a strong appreciation for tradition.

That or he's a cheap bastard with no sense of perspective.

He might put Packers, Bond and Holmes a Court to shame as a big businessman and all the other talents they had between them. I could not give a rats about that. What I want to know is----

I) Does he understand footy?

II) Does he understand footy players and what they need?

II) Does he understand footy supporters and what they want?

If he answers no to any of those questions shoot him and bring in the next candidate. ( Putins methods have some value sometimes)

2) Can he lead change ?

3) Does he know when he is being lied to?

4) Is he a uniting person?

That's what Presidents of football clubs need in terms of attributes.

Harris was unqualified for the job.

Just on the last one, I don't want a Presbyterian in charge. I always assumed Harris was one and that's why he got rid of the man on the logo, stripped the colours and tried to take away the song. If we get another one we'll end up playing in the oft mentioned hessian sacks.

He is the son of a head master, went to Northam High School and started out as a bricklayer in Kellerberrin. He is younger than me, and I don't remember him, but I would think with this background he would have played footy - or had his butt kicked by the local bully boys. His father was an a-grade pr*ck, but from what I have heard of Dale, I think he will make a good President.
