I've said it before and I'll say it again.....Mora is a class above nearly all WAFL players, he just needs some AFL action to show us again what we already know..he makes some AFL regulars look average.

Morabito is okay. He strikes me as a 15 possession player at best in the AFL. He runs in straight lines like Luke Webster (oddly enough) and probably isn't going to give us anything going forward.
None of my trite observations mean, however, that we shouldn't give the bloke a go in the ones.
The way i look at Mora is that he was the first of three top draft picks that turned shit; that things go in threes; which all means Tim English will be a gun (which he is, I have been told, from a reliable source).

Mora has one more AFL game in him and that's round 23 versus the Dogs.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Morabito's still a rookie, isn't he? He hasn't been elevated, has he? If he hasn't been elevated, then so far as I know he can't be selected.

That's not to say that the club couldn't elevate him — we've got more than enough long term injuries. But if there were any chance of him being selected, surely news of his elevation would precede news of his selection.

the only excuse for Roly not to play Mora this weekend is if they have already decided they will keep him next year. If that is the case, then I can accept the rationale of letting him get a 'greater body of work". If they delist him, then it will be a disgrace not to have at least had a look in these last few weeks

That is what I have been thinking Rhuf, that they have made their mind up on Mora, and he is gone. OR they can't see the point in risking next years full season from him for a couple of games at the end of a horror year. I do hope it's the latter.

Is this his second season as a rookie, or his first? If it is his second then he will need to get elevated prior to season's end i think, if I am recalling the rules correctly.
i don't see RL's comments about "time running out" as indicative of keeping him on.

I think about what Freo as a team could have achieved in the last four years if our midfield had looked like Hill and Pearce on the wings Barlow in the centre with Fyfe, Morabito, Mundy and Neale rotating through there. Sandi, Griff pre his knee reco and Clarke before his knee reco also dominating the ruck. It would have been a thing of beauty.

Edit - Is it just me or does Clarke seem to be moving more freely and covering more ground, taking marks and getting contests better the last couple of weeks. Is it possible he is getting back to peak fitness and thus reaching his promised potential.

AwFuL web site says:
"Tendai Mzungu is out of Fremantle's round 21 squad for Sunday's meeting with Adelaide, with Garrick Ibbotson coming into the 25 as his replacement."
No reason given.

Would love to see Mora have another hit out. There are whispers that he is retiring at season end. Hopefully it is not the case and it's just Perth scuttlebutt. I still believe he has a lot to offer.

Bp, I have noticed Clarke getting more of the ball, but I think its primarily because the other guys are actually kicking it to him when he's on his own, not just when he's competing with the opposition ruckman. I approve!

Umpires are Farmer, Dalgleish, some other bloke and Margetts as the emergency. There's a dark side of me which wants to see the third umpire wake up with a bit of a sniffle so Margetts gets in. I'm curious as to what effect having these three umpires would have on the space-time continuum. My guess is that the smoke from the fireworks would clear to reveal that we're twelve goals down.

Nice one C4C, I am just glad there are no grassy knoll's at Subi as I suspect that's where Margetts would be, using his radio to snipe Freo players for frees into the head sets of the Umpires on the field. Combined with the TV tools and Radio commentary in the "God" positions, its a perfect triangulation of fire. Yes there is a conspiracy, every game involving Freo ever recorded is the equivalent to the Supruda Film.

We could look into rookie listing Mora as a veteran. Poor bugger might have to start catching the bus to and from training though.
