It's weird how sports fans can turn on their heroes for having an opinion...
Fyfe is a product of his time, he operates as a professional and he does so very well. So did Pav when he was starting out. He was one of that era's new breed of footballer who expressed incredible presence of mind and professionalism in interviews at a young age and with little experience.
It's just evolution, in this case within a professional system. Fyfe understands that he is, essentially, a brand and he's looking after that aspect of his career.
Pav never treated the media with contempt. He was always professional on camera and in his other roles. So is Fyfe.
