Usually the board would be full of discussion leading up to a Derby, but seems pretty quiet at a glance. Looks like it will be wet on Sunday so maybe takes some of the impact of Kennedy and Darling out of play, and should favour Ballantyne and Walters..?

Call me depressed but I can't see the wet weather helping ballas keep his feet and the delivery to Mikey wil be a big bomb inside 50 which McGovern will mark easily.

I'm confident. Ross Lyon reckons was on the radio being quite critical of himself this week. You don't do that as a coach unless you're expecting to change the narrative very quickly. The last time he did it was just before the first win.

Keep an eye out for Steve Harris before the game. He's a canary.

He's also a good early indicator of a particular set of conditions, in this case a win.

Hughes replaced Sutcliffe last time he was dropped, which was after the Hawthorn game, and then Sutcliffe came back in when Hughes got injured.

The Taberner omission looks a bit harsh. He looked up for it early with his attack on the contests, and then got lost, but it was starvation central for the forwards in the 2nd Half.

Probably a bit much to expect Apeness to do back up ruck as there would be a conservative approach on how much Sandilands will be able to ruck first game back. For me (Thank you Ned Zelich) the one positive with Clarke's solo rucking of recent times is that he's been able to stick at it for 4 quarters.

Not out of any fear for Sandilands, but I have a hunch that it might be more hitouts to advantage if Clarke was to ruck against NaitanuKnee and Sandilands rucked against Lycett.

Walters will kick 4 and win the Medal.

I reckon they'll lose cos they've got nothing left to play for. They only had their dignity to lose last week, to dig in for the best player we've had, and they lost that pretty easy. I doubt I'll even bother to go. My gut is full this year.

Everytime we have played in the wet this year we have been beaten easily.
If it rains for only a quater, that quater we have been poor.
