is a prelude to the 2017 precipice. I saw nothing today to inspire optimism. Insipid performance.

I tend to agree. Should have been much more than 90 points against an injury ravaged side with a 34 yr old key forward. The only way is down for the Swans

In 10 months, I've witnessed some outrageous performances by Freo but none is as bad as today. The great man deserves so much better. To think that this time last year, we're on top of the ladder is so unbelievably dissapointing. I'd go so far as saying that 2016 will always be remembered as the worst year in Freo's history, the year Pavlich retires. I never thought it could come to this.

Does anyone know WTF is happening at the FFC to dig us out of this hole the Board, CEO and coach have us in, I'd like to know?

Allowing for the obvious injuries we have I think the team we saw today is just a mirror of coaching staff dysfunction, and poor recruiting over the last few years which has us with too many mediocre players.

Another year of this carp will test the most rusted on members and supporters.

I'm not totally surprised with the result. Freo were playing one of this years' grand finalists without several first choice players. The gap was wide but it was unbalanced.

Assuming Fyfe, Sandiland, et al. stay fit, next year won't be nearly as bad as this.

Its more than injuries. Obviously they dont help.
You could have had Sandi, Fyfe and Johnno in and the Swans would have still towelled us up.
Look at lasts years last 8 rounds, look at the first rounds this year with everyone basically fit and firing. We still lost.
This is bigger than injuries.

Luckily, Sydney had so many injuries, they couldn't put out a full strength side, otherwise Freo would never have managed to keep the score to within a reasonable margin.

Being from the country I don't get to many games and unfortunately I was there today. To think that that was the best we could dish up with the importance of the ocassion is just disgraceful.
I'm sorry but all those who think we are just a monty to bounce straight back into the eight next year well I just don't see it.

What I saw today was a group of players let down by its club. recruiting staff who have had an insane obsession with midfielders or are so scared to make a mistake that they go for the safe option .
Fitness staff who have let the players down with so many calf and hamstring injuries , a coaching panel who have out thought themselves that they have players totally confused and have been unable to teach the players the basic of skills.
A board who has failed to keep the administrators accountable.
Yes we made the grand final , thank you . But in 21 years of being a club probability would deem it.
Maybe the great goodwill of freo supporters has also let the club down by excusing mediocrity , accepting our lot of near enough is good enough.
It was a absolute disgraceful performance yesterday , but one that was coming. Other than Geelong we have been substandard since the bye. Sydney had many stars out Tippett , Reid , Sinclair to name a few
Sorry PAV.
