Recorded the match for when I got home from Subi to see the end again...didn't even show him being carried off.
Only reshowed 427 and some bearded Geelong bloke being carried off!!!

We don't have much respect from the media, so don't expect anything from them.

Pav's 350 is a massive personal milestone of discipline and resilience, but I don't expect he'll be showing his kids and grandkids the highlights of his 350th. If he does, it'll be very short.

Would have been more respectful not to air the game at all...

Pavlich and Freos careers entwined in a dual microcosm from the game and the weather. Started poorly, and expectations remained low. A bit of a bright spot for a while, then it all turned to crap very quickly again.

It is about Pav's career not just 1 game. Show him the respect that has been shown to others who have reached milestones, some of them a lot less than Pavs. The carry on from the media when Slappo and then Flappo reached their milestones made you think they were in line for knighthood and sainthoods, makes Pav's 350 seem like nothing in comparison. Media dropkicks of the highest order. Sure Freo had a shocker today, but not coz they didn't care I could guarantee that.

Me and the boys slipped away as soon as the Siren went. It was a horrible day, and while 350 is cool, it's just a roadside sign.

We'll save our tears (and tons of cheers) for the Bullies game.

(Mind you, when Pav kicks his 700th halfway through the second quarter next week we might just go completely space cadet!!)
