Except he's still running 15/20km which is probably more than he does at AFL level with all the time he spends on the bench and he's still hitting hard mature bodies. It was no rest, if anything he had to go harder carrying the blokes at Peel.

a commentator after the game said he had made enquiries re blakely being dropped and was told ,he does not play the defensive side of hie game enough,and in the west today the reviewer also said his defensive side was poor in the peel game
well that may be the case but he ain't alone out there.
what more can this guy do,time and time again he is in there hard at it and getting the ball out to teammates ,as hard at it as neele does ?
the mind is baffled.
of course he stuffs up everyone does at times.
but his pure get the ball at all costs impresses me .

The point of laying a tackle is to:
a) stop the opposition; and
b) get the ball.

Yesterday we laid 90 tackles and suffered a 90 point defeat - a perfectly symmetrical example of defeating the purpose.
