I may have to wear the dark glasses to hide the man tears whilst wearing my man purple. I am expecting the Pav will play out of his skin as the realisation starts to really hit home that this will be his last few games for the club. This is going to be something to see.
I hope the media give him his props this week in the lead up to the game, I imagine if it was some "super star" from the VFL they would be rabbiting on for weeks about their great record and achievement's. There is talk of Sandilands and Johnson playing this week but it came from Slappovich so not sure if his" sauces" are better than Hackers "sauces".

Agreed with that, purplepower...happy for us to rest him a week more so that he'll come out fresh and win the Glendinning medal in our Derby win...

Pav will retire from the game without a premiership, but that will not be due to any lack of effort on his part.
A supremely talented footballer, a great leader, durable, loyal, an achiever, highly respected by players from all teams across the years. Our very own legend of the game.
In years to come, we will be able to say with great pride that we saw him play. Thanks Pav.
But I'm getting ahead of myself. 350 games is worth us cheering ... loudly.

Favourite Pav moment?

For me, every time I heard the media report Pav has re-signed. So much external options for him each time but he stayed loyal.

Fav Pav moments.
Those goals in our great win at the Cattery in our best ever Finals win. Passed his best but really stood up - again.

Yep Rhuf, he was owed by the footy gods and Cats, and he collected that day.

what a great footballer, what a great man. No one is bigger than the club but Pav comes very close.

Fav Pav moment
so many to choose from - 2012 Elim Final vs Cats is up there

but for some reason I always think of his last qtr vs North Melb in the original red/white heritage jumpers circa 2003.
That was power and ability personified

I had the same thoughts Demo. Pav lifting us in Melbourne for a win against the Roos and a shot at finals by throwing everyone on his shoulders and carrying them over the line. It was powerful, skillfull, inspirational and just flat out heroic. He was the best in the game for mine at that point and just needed some more help.

Despite Fyfe's brownlow, Pav is still the best we've seen at our club.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

His last quarter against the Kangaroos is the highlight, as were 9 goals in the Mothers Day massacre.

But I also remember game #1 against Melbourne at the WACA in 2000. Playing alongside hero Tony Modra, he kicked 2 goals with his first 2 kicks of AFL football and missed the third for 2.1.

Freo didn't win that night either. I'd be interested to know what Pav's win/loss over 349 games is. I wonder what side of the ledger he sits on?

Currently sits on 169-0-180. Interestingly before this year he was 167-168. Maybe he thought he'd go one more year to get on the plus side of the ledger.
