Ed Langdon is quick, had 23 possies in a losing side, should have had three goals next to his name, as well as a Norwich Rising Star nomination. We need players like this, but not at the expense of players like this. Reckon that Clarkson will be after one of our talls rather than Barlow. Hughes or A. Pearce or even Sam Collins back over to the Hawks. Might even be Zac Clarke.

CA, I envisage those players using their handball skills to get the ball to B Hill who IS an elite kick. Put Blakely, who seems to have an instinct for the best player to give the WIDE handpass to, and B Hill will think it's Christmas all year round, as will Tabs, Apeness, Walters and Balla's. ( With Blakely in you could probably add Fyfe to that forward mix, but I won't go there. it upsets some people to think that Fyfe may be a key forward, just like Pav became later in his career.)

Outside kicks DO get possessions with freo, its just that one in particular burns more hard fought opportunities than Puff the Magic Dragon. How'd it be to have someone on the flank receiving who, instead of shanking it OOBOTF, could actually spot up one of our guys with a silky pass to advantage? Unbelievable, right,? It wouldn't be fair on our opponents.
So, wait another year til that ludicrous 2y D. Pearce contract expires and pick up a Hill brother for loose change, then straight swap. Then watch us GO.
The only bad part of that equation is watching another year of Mr turnover continuing doing a lot of pointing, shanking and not much else.

Let's go down memory lane and think about the Bennell trade. Everyone, me included, were thrilled that he wore the purple in 2016, even to the point of surrendering our second rounder in return. He's signed a 3 yr deal. Only 2 left now. We're using our pick 3 on either

Sam Petrevski-Seton (Claremont)
Or
Sam Powell-Pepper (East Perth).

English is a KPP.

So the Hawks are hoping to trade Hill for Langdon or Weller plus a 3rd or 4th rounder.

Back to Bennell. In hindsight, we overpaid for him. Are we to go down the same track with Hilly.

Should Freo let Langdon or Weller go, then they've lost in the deal.
