Hawkins was out there, he was smashed by Dawson, and the mids were kicking to him, he just could not get it. His goal was courtesy of a "crow throw" handpass. Can't blame Zac for that.

Sometimes I wonder if some of the people on here need to take off their blinkers.

Dawson was far from our worst performer, he continuously left his man to stop a forward thrust and if the numpties (yes you Daniel Pierce) actually moved away from him to get the handpass, rather then be right next to him so you can get tackled, he would be quite effective.

Hawkins got smashed by Dawson, they kept kicking it to him and zed kept smacking it.

Dawson does the team thing, he takes on the monsters and if he gets beaten, we are getting smashed.

It's interesting looking at the key forwards from both sides last night - compared to the Tommohawk Pav was fantastic. But he only kicked 1 from 3 set shots. Three set shots for your only key forward, over the course of a game, shows how ineffective a big forward can be - I think Hawkins only had 1 (from a free kick I believe). Yet Chris Scott praised his big fella (for what he did 'off-the-ball'). I thought Pav was excellent last night, way better than the Tommohawk, but only put 8pts on the scoreboard.

So if key forwards are becoming increasingly irrelevant, it makes sense that you can have non-footballers plunked in the back half as 'key defenders'. Guys like The Spack can sit back there and…well, spack out (I guess).
