I think Clarke plays injured. He was the next great thing 3 seasons ago but hurt his knee in preseason and just hasn't looked good at all since. He gets pushed out of marking contests consistently. No strength. We should cut our loses.

Any thoughts on Tom Nicholls from Gold Coast, a good running type who may complement Sandilands and can kick a goal in the forward line. Also in the draft Darcy Cameron from Claremont must be an option as a key forward 204 cm who kicks goals, can take a pack mark and can pinch hit in the ruck, all skills that Zac Clarke and Hannath seem to lack.

We speak and think of this as if it is a magical bunch of google-ish algorithms coded together to calculate the best course of action while running a canonical variance analysis between the prediction and set criteria variables that, when plugged in to the numerous flashy apple-branded laptops in the coaching box and football management offices flashes red and orange alerts on the screen that something needs attention or a recommendation of the best course of action.

In reality, it's a bunch of overlapping sticky notes on the back of Bondy's clipboard. Some of the sticky bits are clogged with dust and dog hair so they keep falling off.

Would there a few other clubs looking to bolster their ruck stocks at the same time as us. Western Bulldogs, Richmond, Port Adelaide perhaps, even West Coast seem to be unsatisfied with Giles as their back up.

Tons of freaky Yanks out there but enticing them to play a full contact sport unpadded is a little tricky. I would be more inclined to look to tall athletic Australian born African heritaged kids, who have grown up playing the game. A couple of chaps in the Majak Daw mould (managed well and played in the correct position) would be more than handy.

Injury or no injury, ball watching and softness have nothing to do with Clarke's ability, where he's played or how many other ruckmen are in the team.

Agree with the others about Lobb. He and McCarthy are much easier to get at the end of the season than Hogan.

I definitely think Cameron is worth looking at and will most likely be picked up by someone. He's coming along nicely and kicking goals in a team that has only won four games.As well a getting his teeth knocked out and a broken jaw from a dirty,filthy garlic muncher.
And there will be plenty of interest in Majak Daw come trade time.

Cameron rookie listed definitely although I think we may have to use a draft pick on him as others will be watching. I believe North were interested in picking up Mayne in the trade period, what about Mayne for Majak. I think Majak would be a good fit for us and he cant seem to break into the Roo's side. The Roo's seem determined to turn Majak into a key forward, but I say play him in the centre. Watched his games pre-draft and man does he have a set of wheels for a bloke his size. He would be unstoppable on the burst out of the centre and could pinch hit forward.

Majak has a ton of potential but has been dreadfully managed by North. He is an on baller not a Kpp or No1 ruckman, again it is an example of taking a player who is naturally good at one thing and trying to turn him into something the coach wants (rather than just recruit what you want). We will probably go for a mid sized forward or half back or a skinny mid in the draft anyway, so why am I even bothering to talk a bout tall players.

Majak is coming along pretty good.. He is better than quite a few teams second stringer isn't he? I was also thinking if we are going to draft a key position or a ruckman maybe we should just trade pick 3 to GWS for McCarthy and pick 8 because we would probably get the best ruck or key position player with 8 anyway.....
