The AFL have stuffed around with the game so much that all their equalization measures have made no effective change. The small changes initially made by having an annual national draft etc were good. But by keeping many VFL traditions such as the Brownlow medal, the same grand final trophy and only playing GF's at the MCG they missed an opportunity to truly nationalise the game. I am sick of having the Melbourne is the sporting capital of the country BS rammed down my throat. All this current AFL administration. has done is dilute the playing numbers by introducing two new teams from non AFL states, over complicate the on field rules and guarantee that if you like the Hawks, Geelong or Sydney winning a Gf you will be happy.
