Yes Corporal, Bucky was talking as the former Hawthorn recruiter - but he did say in the interview I'm referring to that he was hoping to continue similar work with if another AFL were interested in having him, but I suppose nobody was at the time, which was before he took the North Ballarat coaching job.
I'd seen him on more than one occasion on the ABC TV WAFL coverage when the camera panned out to him sitting out on the grass banks with a thermos by his chair and a file full of notes. Not every player he picked was a winner - I know he mentioned some first round key position players like Beau Dowler and Mitch Thorp that didn't make good. He thought Ben Stratton was the pick he was most satisfied with selecting because he had to convince the club that he was worth picking despite his skill set at the time not being to Clarkson's requirements.
Sorry Zorro, I was being a bit harsh about the senility thing with Bob. Its probably because I recognize the same symptoms occurring. I imagine he'll cop a lot of flack from his old union mates for letting those ads run during his show - (actually I only heard one - and only listened for about half an hour).
