Hannath is the obvious choice as he was the only player held back from playing for Peel on Sunday. A 5 day turn around could be the problem for the other WAFL players...

Langdon has to play again soon. He was a star on the weekend for Peel and is very exciting with all the skills on show.
Agree about the 5 day break so maybe next game...
I read somewhere Griffin will be right this week. Hannath would have been pulled from Peel more for insurance really
Coll wont play Witts, Grundy and Cox again after the pasting they got last time.
Cant wait to see our young boys under the friday night lights!

I made that comment after John Griffin gave a talk before the Port Adelaide game last Saturday in the Derby Club, where he said he was almost right for that game and would definately be ready for the Pies!

The only caveat I will place here is that he is a player and they dont make thoise calls; the medical department will actual tell him if he is right and chastise him for thinking he knows better, or maybe for just thinking :-)

We're almost at that point.

We started the season with 39 senior players plus 6 rookies.

We now have: 21 players left over from last week's game plus Hannath, C. Pearce, Ibbo, Langdon and Mzungu. A total of 26 available players.

Of the other 19: 16 are on the injured list; Yarran is nowhere near AFL fitness ready; Deluca and Hurley are rookies coming back from injury and barely WAFL standard.

Scrub off both Ibbo and C Pearce as they were both ordinary against the bulldogs! Ibbo's poor disposals were again in full display and was a clear indication he is no longer in Freo's best 22. Unlike Langdon who relished the conditions Ibbo constantly put his fellow Peel Thunder team mates under pressure. Ibbo was one of the main reasons we had numerous turnovers resulting in goals in the first several weeks and its no wonder our stocks improved when he got injured. The question is who do you drop to bring him in? Crozier, Suban, Sutcliffe, Sheridan, Collins? Definately none of those!

Probably Darcy Tucker. While he has played serviceably , may get more from Langdon at this stage.
May replace tanner with a small and just 2nd ruck with Tab's.
Very scary to play Hannath on such a big ground.

I think it has to be Langdon in to replace Smith, If we need to take a chance then I wouldn't mind them taking a risk on Yarran and seeing what he can do , he played less minutes in the peel game so he should have some petrol left in the tank.

Yarran has proven he can play well in big games in the Wafl.

I didnt think tucker played that badly, dont look at his 8 possessions as an indicator, he did some good work supporting others and needs to be persisted with. Langdon will most likely be affected by the heavy track from sundays game anyways, which is why Hannath was withdrawn.

How'd Barlow go at AFL level after is stint in the magoos?

Play Ibbo.

With Collins and Dawson both taking talls he can play third man role and snaffle intercept marks all night
