DK every season sees a few more blatant howlers in crickets' DRS that are not reversed. Rugby sees the 3rd official make just as many blatantly wrong decisions after watching umpteen replays as the refs do in real time. The only things it really works for are runouts in cricket, and judging whether a player has stepped on the line in the rugby codes, and the 3rd official still gets those wrong on occasion. Corruption or incompetence, it doesn't matter which, is just as bad now as before the DRS.

Dear Dockerland,

If the DRS, and all the other review systems in world sport, had done nothing other than eradicate the despicable practice of umpires giving left-handed batsmen out LBW to balls by right-handed bowlers that pitched ouside leg stump, then the billions spent and thousands employed to operate them is blood and treasure well spent.
