no eagles in those trees. Funnily enough I was just watching a video on the uses of sand - in concrete and building and islands and stuff and how it changes the ecosystems around the world. Did you know we export a couple of million tonnes of sand a year?

They have lauded over us, claiming it to be their home ground and their facilities for 22 years now, and now they are finally getting their wish...
(I'm sure it's probably something to do with leases, costs, WA footy directors and what-not...)

Incidentally, what is going to happen to Subi oval once we all leave?

I live a few hundred metres from Lathlain. Sure, losing the trees would be a shame, but the bigger issue, in my opinion, is the prospect of that many criminals and drug users moving into my neighbourhood in one swoop, and all under one roof. I don't want to be accused of NIMBYism, but that's how ghettos start.
