Before the game I couldn't decide which team I hate more, so settled on hoping for a draw. Karmatically appropriate the game was sealed after a failed attempt at the (patent pending) Kangaroo Head Toss technique...couldn't happen to a more deserving team (except one, I suppose)

I must of been watching different game to you Drummy, thought umpiring was terrible against Hawks 17 - 3 at one point. This was even more one sided, in that it looked to me that North Melbourne were initiating a lot of the non football niggle.
Notice that Scott has come out and commented on the treatment of Thomas, will watch with interest to see if this impacts his free kick tally in the future.

I should of read the full article before last post. Scott makes the point that umpires should not umpire with pre-conceived perceptions, and later goes onto say that he is sure that Hayden will deal with that (Hayden Kennedy). I nearly fell off my chair because for one moment I thought somebody was finally addressing the clear pre-conceived ideas the umpiring department have around our own Hayden.

The thing about the umpires and their preconceptions about who ducks and who doesn't is that they seem to me to think black players are 4 times more likely to be a ducker than a white player.

Most people could rattle off three or four players who consistently get free kicks from ducking and they could probably name a couple of Aboriginal players who regularly duck but I can't think of any Aboriginal players who consistently get free kicks from ducking.

That's the bad sort of preconception.
