I would think they would want to be a bit careful with their revisionism tactics. There are several disgruntled former players, with drug addiction issues, out in the wild who might feel a need to unburden themselves.

Revisionism at its finest. The main thing is: Why didn’t you do something during the years running into the GF years if you were so keen on players’ welfare. So, now in 2016, you are prepared to give back the cup if it means that the players end up healthy? What a load of BS. You chose to ignore the issues because the players concerned were helping you win games and you kept your fingers crossed that it would all turn out OK. Which leads to the other piece of revisionism that galls: It was actually in the player's best interests to keep them playing because of the structure that the footy club provided. I would contend that the lack of any meaningful action until it was too late aided and abetted their deeds which exacerbated their issues in the first place.
