What is the way to get him back to kicking for goal confidently? I know he got three yesterday, but should have had a lot more. He plays with great intensity but little end product and I would send him to Peel, see if he can regain confidence
and bring him back after he's kicked a bag. I can foresee him being traded,somebody sorting his yips out and him getting a shed load against us next year. He was at one time the best set shot around, surely the club has the expertise to work something out,

I think he digs a hole for himself with his lead up, there is too much going on. He needs to go back and put the ball through the big sticks and not over think it.

Who didn't pay well for us? The thing with Mayne is when we need him in the 'big' games he fails to deliver. Doesn't take marks and misses easy goals.

He should be one of the experienced guys that steps up to get us over the line.....he doesn't.

Mayne does a lot more than kick or miss goals. His tackling and run is ferocious, he gives 100% every game.

Unfortunately AFL and professional sport is very unforgiving on those who give 100% but aren't quite up to the elite standard required in all aspects of their chosen sport. No one questions Mayne's effort and that's why he gets a game, but it won't see us win one let alone three premierships in a row.

Its a tough call. As much as he is purple at heart and always gives great effort, mayne is in that category of do we keep him on or do we let him walk and push for a 2nd round pick for him.

Hopefully if he starts kicking a few more bags it might lift his value

Maynes last two games have been far better than the rest of his 2016.

The only thing Mayne needs to improve on is set shots. These aren't going to get any better doing them for Peel.

Persevere, back him in, a bit of routine improvement, give him confidence. Coaching, etc.

I don't think any of his goals came from set shots. 2 were 2m out. Al his set shot were gettable for a FF. He doesn't get them.
