People were saying that they saw signs of Freo's downfall well before the end of last season. It took Ross 2 seasons to get us to a GF and a further two to win the minor premiership. So there's enough evidence to renew his contract. Clearly, our current list won't bring us a premiership after last year therefore, it's clean out time and games into youngsters. In doing so, Weller, Blakely, A. Pearce, Langdon, Tucker and Hughes should be in our best 22 next year. Now add them to the likes of Sandi, Fyfe, Bennell, McCarthy, and our top 3 draft pick, this is not a wasted season then if we had made the 8 and bombed out of finals in the first week. So, if winning the wooden spoon get us to a top 4 finish next year, I say great strategy. Losing the GF in 2013 was a lot harder to swallow then our current plight.
