Be patient. I'm working on something with Ross to push out the Premiership odds.

Those are still about 17 years away from being built. Plenty of time.

You're gonna look silly when it finally does arrive.

I thought you were being a bit presumptuous having Freo Premiers 2015-24 painted on the wings.

Morgan thanks for the only survey this week that didn't cause me to rage. Seriously good value. Speaking of survey week, I also got the club "Why did you not attend Ruchmond game" survey. Conspicuously absent from the prepared answers is "because I can't bear to watch this carp. The on field performance is killing me". Sure weather was there but nothing about how the club is going.

And don't get me started on your seat resale.

My answer to why I didn't turn up for the game in the "other" option was
"The team didn't turn up for the match so why should I ? "

Morgan, Braking for an Eagle made me laugh.
It really happened to me on the back streets of Osborne Park circa 2005/6
Adam Selwood darted out in front of me from behind some parked cars and some large shrubs carrying some form of large architect plans.
I had to really hammer the brakes not to hit him. he was like a dear in the headlights and to this day I cant figure out how he didnt see me.
Its amazing what goes through your head in the space of 2-3 seconds, it was slow motion.
Idiot - what are you doing, Look Out your gonna hit this bloke, brake hard, its ADAM SELWOOD, Bloody Eagles, Die Selwood, better keep braking. Good one di_k_ead! Eagles Suck
It must have been prior to the Headland incident otherwise I may have just clipped him

Dallimore knew what they were up to.

CHARGING ADMISSION TO PARK LANDS.
CHALLENGED AT SUBIACO.

The right of the public to free admission to public parks which may have, been enclosed and improved, and converted into sports grounds, has been frequently challenged in democratic communities. Some years ago a well known citizen claimed and enforced his right to free access to the Perth Esplanade, with the result that it has since remained an open ground for the people.

In more recent years claims of a similar character were made in New South Wales by the late Mr. J. D. Young, M.L.A., who led several hundred exuberant spirits in forcing an en trance to the Sydney Agricultural society's Show Ground, on the ground that it was part of the Sydney Commonage, the people's domain. Three years ago a similar demonstration was made upon the Rushcutters' Bay Reserve, upon a portion of which the naval authorities had erected an iron fence.

The latest of these democratic demonstrations occurred on Saturday, when Mr. J. C. Dallimore presented himself at the gates of Mueller Park, Subiaco, as a protest against the action of the Town Council in allowing a charge to be made for admission to football matches. Following the protesting rate payer was a goodly company of lads of varying ages. For a time the gatekeepers recognised a difficulty, and Mr. Dallimore was allowed to pass through the gates without purchasing a ticket.

His demand that the accompanying juveniles should be allowed to pass the barrier on similar conditions did not lead to.a response, as it was doubtful if they were ratepayers. Having been satisfied that he had established his right, Mr. Dallimore soon afterwards left the park again protesting against the sale of tickets for admission.

I'm frequently amazed at what you manage to drag out of the newspapers you have around your house, Shane.

If you sold some of that junk...er stuff, you could probably afford to pay for that Joint Strike Fighter and the boat, come to think of it

So, we got nearly 100 responses to my incredibly scientific survey. Some key findings:

i. 34% of respondents would commit vehicular homicide against an Eagles player. This seems low. It is certainly lower than your chance of being run over by an ex-Eagles player evading police.

ii. Dockerlanders are most likely to take the train to the stadium, although these numbers might have been inflated by the fact that the alternatives included a fictional option (travelator), and a wildly fictional option (Shane’s boat).

iii. Roughly the same number of respondents would fire Zac Dawson out of a cannon as not.

iv. People are looking for a good price from beer. Interestingly, few care for taste. This probably goes some way to explaining why XXXX Gold is Australia’s highest selling beer (idiot Queenslanders being the biggest reason).

v. Most people are prepared to pay ‘about the same’ for their membership at the new stadium. Prepare to be disappointed.

vi. The responses suggested a fair amount of anti-Bond sentiment. 60% percent of respondents would fire Chris Bond twice, just to be sure. Roughly a third thought ‘he’s not great’, with the rest taking a more aggressive stance. By comparison, only 8% of respondents would fire Roly, which is pretty low considering we are 0-10. Only 23% thought I should personally “F@#! Off,” which is consistent with most of my day-to-day interactions.

vii. Almost all consider VIP entrance, after-match functions and cocktail food about as irrelevant as Brad Hardie. This is not surprising, but there’s a chance people will care more about after-match functions when they realise there’s no travelator to take them home after the game.

viii. 100% of respondents agreed that the AFL and/ or umpires are biased against Freo. No surprises there.

Thanks for participating everyone.

I cycled past the stadium-in-progress today, and noticed that the footbridge over the river chose not to go to the mini Amsterdam in East Perth, replete with parkland, restaurants and stuff, but instead opted to end at the back of Gloucester Park, on a street that leads up to a cemetery.

Someone needs to be congratulated for that.

How likely are you to use a VIP footbridge to the nicer part of East Perth for $940?
