playing against brian peakes grandson in auskick....8 and 5...but they can mark, kick straight on the run etc and now tackle and can switch up play...in the future they could get there hopefully...dockers need a overhaul .

Here is why the current side is, in fact, the worst side in the history of the club: previously when the team has been terrible the players have at least looked like they cared, and the club had some actual discernible values.

The only positive (or, if not strictly positive, at least accurate) thing you can say about the club presently is that it perfectly reflects the various people associated with running it.

This side weren't terrible. There was some good play, some good pressure, and some good playmaking. Same old same old into the forward line, some poor turnovers, and getting touched up by the umps when we needed it least. Richmond kicked some big long goals early, that hurts.

They competed, but weren't good enough.

Perhaps not the worst side in Freo history, but they are playing the worst football in that time.

Is Lyon actually trying to get them to do anything? Because all I see is players trying to get the ball and then...nothing. Not a thing. Not a thought. Not a try something but not quite get it right. Just nothing.

Too many blokes committing to win the footy leaving 1 or 2 Richmond spares around the stoppages. Not an uncommon thing when a side is out of form and lacking confidence.

Our whole game plan seems to revolve around kick it long and hope. I fail to see any discernable patterns or structure out there at all. Roly has been found out and every other team in the AFL can see he has no Plan B.

Problem - Modern day football. Players are trained like machines and when they break they stop working. That why spirit appears lost. Our machines need to be reprogrammed but currently the programmer must be on leave as he did the update after last year's performance and expected the update to win the cup.
Machines don't have spirit. Don't over emphasis the science but play football. All our players were drafted because they could play football. Time to see some of it this year.
