I was listening to him commentate during the Hawks game. Made the comment in the first half it was a great move playing Mundy off half back and seeing Walters through the midfield.

When things went pear shaped in the third qtr he changed his tune saying it was stupidity not having Mundy in the midfield all game and when he did move into the middle this allowed Walters to go forward and kick goals which is where he should have playing from all game.

He is a reactive fool that tries to make himself sound clever.

Sorry about the brevity but I was in a hurry.
What he said was that in an interview Bond's answers were pathetic and inept. He was asked if the players were asked if they approved of a five year extension to Lyon's contract. No!
The general gist of his rant was that Bond showed total incapability as a list manager.
This has been a general consensus for a long time on this site and I find myself starting to agree.
No matter what anyone says, the injuries to our top playmakers has crucified us and destroyed any momentum we may have been seeking at the start of the season. If we had been sitting 4-4 at this stage, with the draw in the next few weeks opening up, a position in the eight would be likely. Alas, it aint gunna happen.

McLure is an idiot most days of the week but he did actually ask some pertinent questions.

To hear Bond say he wouldn't consult the players about Lyon's 5 year deal because it was none of their business is worse than stupid. In fact I'm having a hard time believing that he didn't speak to the leadership group. He must have, simply to gauge their attitude towards the existing situation.

McLure was stupid to expect any club to discuss their proposed recruiting strategy in the upcoming drafts though. Nobody with 2 brain cells would be giving away that information through the media.

The fact of the matter is both Whately and McClure, in particular Whately, have had Freo and everything it stands for in the crosshairs since Roly's appointment. He went on a character assisination assignment the day Roly took up the post. Fair to say though, at 0-8, this forensic examination of the club's performance was inevitable. I'm happy to say though, that the appointment of Roly to remain as coach is a masterstoke. There are but a few in the AFL landscape that can right the club's fortunes.

McLure is a tool who at the start of last season could not say enough good things about Freo and how Ross Lyon had turned the club around and developed a list and systems for sustained success. He quickly changed his tune when we started to falter but to have bet each way still thought we would make the GF. When we didn't he came out with his list of reasons as to why he thought we would fail. He is a lot like Dermott in that they love to state the obvious in hindsight and make it sound like some magical theory. I would like to hear what David King has to say, about the only one on Fox who is not a 100% ass clown.
Port Adelaide have gone through just as dramatic a collapse as us and they have their full list available, have they sacked Coshy and their football manager, recruiting team?
Richmond were the sacking kings, fair dinkum being on their coaching/ management staff was like being one of the French royal family during the French revolution "off with his head" every five minutes, and where has that got them?
They are right in the crapper with us.

Shane if it was as simple as that all well and good. But you cant on the one hand state that a coach has built a foundation for sustained success whilst at the same time compile a list as to why you thought that was not going to happen. Unless you are on serious medication or hold hours of conversation with yourself, then your just Gollum.
