For the last couple of years Ibbo has been the best half-back flanker in the AFL and should have been AA. This season he has looked completely lost without McPharlin, Johnson and Duffield and he's been forced into a role that demands a taller player. Give him time to adjust and bring Collins in and he'll find form back in his old role of mop-up expert. It's absurd to compare him to players like Sutcliffe, who can't read the play, can't tackle and can't mark (see also Sheridan).

I have been a vocal critic of Sutcliffe ever since he started to hold down a permanent spot in the team, the only reason I can see for his inclusion is that he must follow Rolys script to the letter, which is frustrating because he can't play football, while others, namely Barlow, are natural footballers, and get played out of position or dropped. It is infuriating to say the least.

Thread should be called Sutcliffe, Sheridan and Crozier. They will either step up this season with the increased responsibility or wilt.

But is it too early to say if they don't step up now they never will given that the oldest of them is 23?
