It's not tanking exactly - it's the longest pre-season in the history of sport.

From McClelland Trophy to Wooden Spoon - that must be a record and deserve a special Award in itself. How about the Plastic Spoon Award?

I wonder if that's some kind of AFL record; three blokes with the same last name in the same team.

Can’t say I was too surprised with the dropping of Zac, but Micky is an interesting call for me.

Barlow
He had an average couple of weeks at the start of the year, but I thought he was going alright in the last couple of weeks. I think RTB must have been frustrated with his lack of spread from the contest and the fact he is as slow as a wet week (cheers Palmer). But I like to think as Barlow as our version of Prides (down and dirty player). I guess it was a bad decision (although everyone has a PHD in hindsight, not to trade him to GWS for McCarthy)

Dawson
It’s weird the love or hate that Dockers fans have with ZAC. On the big footy board, I mentioned that Zac should have been dropped last week because of his lack of offensive ability (aka he is a liability with the ball) and I got hounded. Calls of you know nothing about footy were bandied about. However, I think he is an outdated footballer. Unfortunately, the game has moved from everyone having to defend in the last 5-10 years, to everyone also having attack (see eagles in 2015). Zac Dawson although a solid defender is a shocking attacker. His skills are deplorable at best and this just doesn’t cut the mustard in today’s game.

Whether or not we play these two players again in the future will be interesting. I’d love to see Micky B come back into the side, but for Zac D, I just can’t see a future.

Barlow had an ordinary start to the year, played well against Adelaide and then had 15 touches playing in the midfield last week if which only 3 were kicks.

Give him a kick up the pants and a week playing at Peel and hopefully he comes back firing for the remainder of the year.

Having said all of that, he's no orphan and Suban is lucky he didn't get the same treatment.

Barlow only had 69% game time last week and spent a lot of it at half forward when the ball wasn't getting there. He only had a few stints in the middle and did his usual grunt work when there.

If he was injured/rested I'd imagine they wouldn't have said Barlow has been omitted.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

If you say he has been omitted then it sounds like you're doing something about the 0-7 problem.

Micky B just needs time to recover from the shock of surviving spending 50% of his 69% game time playing on Palmer. Travelling to the vicinity of the South Pole would not that recovery.

Blockerhall, . I am of a different view to you on Subes.
He is going backwards at a rate of knots IMO.
He started in the middle last week, didnt negate anybody, was chasing kicks out wide late in the game and ended up with 9 possessions. Hes a goer but hes battling big time and has been for a while now.
He has to be the most penalised player for kicks against as he just doesnt seem to understand the rules.
He regularly gives stupid kicks away from lazy tackles too.
He looked unfit at times last week and I am really disappointed in the way he has been going.
Lucky to be in the team for mine

I thought his job was to tag Whitfield. Well at least that's what the commentators thought. If so I think he did his job.
But that's Bout all he is nowadays. Rarely gets much of the ball.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the Barlow is named for Peel. Surely you'd just give him a rest?
