**(CA, kids get drafted every year to replenish all club with aging players. We just lucked out on the trading aspect like Hawks, Sydney and more recently Cats to contend for a flag. Because no one wants to come)**
Jezza, of course kids get drafted every bloody year. And stop with the luck story please.
Why is every other club in the competition sooo lucky and not us when it comes to getting people to come to their club.? If no-one wants to come here but they'll go to other clubs that are far worse than us WHY? We had a much better premiership window than other clubs that attracted players.
Bond and Lloyd are paid big money to make sure they give the coach a good and balanced list to work with. It's their bloody job to do so and get players here and they haven't done it.
Yes, we got Bennell but he was damaged goods and going nowhere else. Gumbleton-constantly injured before he got here-dud. Sylvia-dud. Anthony-dud.
D Pearce -okay, but explain to me why at 30 yrs of age we gave him a two year contract extension!? Only the very best players get more than one year at that age. Even Sandi only got 1 year.
Sivagni-average 29 always injured, Dawson-wouldn't get a game anywhere else-30, Johnson-consistently injured, near the end-31, Pavlich-talked out of retirement-34.
The gap then to the next group of talls is huge.
Tabener-struggling-23, Apeness-very average at WAFL level before injury-21, Pearce-21-Yes! Hooray, Collins-unproven-22, Ubergang-Rookie list, Smith-been on list for 5 years& back on rookie list again.
That in any man's, any team, any recruiters, or blind freddy's team is not good enough so don't ell me they've done a good job. Ex players, critics and plenty here seem to think the same so can you explain how recruiting excessive number of midfielders when we needed kpp's is doing a good job?
