I feel an upset brewing on Sat. night. If we're not cursed by injury, this has the makings of a winnable game. To put it in perspective, these young Giants will be all gung-ho after their win against the Hawks. Yeah they can run and gun but can they battle the mind games. They say, the more you lose the closer you are to win and vice versa.

Disappointed to see the two young blokes Grey and Tucker dropped. As for Zac C his axing was almost a certainty. Great to see Hughes get a crack, he's a gun. Ibbo and Subes in makes for a very interesting game. This one is going to be our first win for the year.

Good ins and outs. Finally find myself agreeing with Lyons selections for once. In an ideal world guys like Tucker and Grey would play most the season but we still need to be in the business of winning footy matches. They will get more chances.
Clarke must have his career on the line now. He just hasn't been able to find the footy enough nor put on any bulk. He is brushed off the footy far too easy. Compare his size to Naitunui who started about the same time. Best of luck to Hughes who was a fringe player at swan districts with a background in volleyball or something similar(?). The only other thing is I hope they haven't given up on Deboer or Clancee. Still at a good age to make an impact at afl.

Sheridan had 9 touches and most of them were very poor from 90% time on ground. Tucker gets dropped though after a decent effort with 13 touches from 70% time on ground and looked calm and composed with the footy. I don't understand the logic there.

If it's going to be wet then two ruckman is a bad idea but it still worries me with just Dawson and Pearce to take on Cameron, Patton and Lobb.

Dutchy is also built for wet weather games, he should be in.

we are too short in the backline again. Giants have Lobb (206cm), Patton(198) & Cameron(196). We have Zed(197), AAA(200) & ....um hopefully not Sutcliff on Cameron!

they will probably chuck Ibbo on Cameron then drop him again for not stopping someone he gives away 10cm and 11kg to.
