KK, I never stated a good midfielder needs to rack up 30+ disposals regularly.

I have been posting about the value of players capable of getting 30+ disposals.
Freo's Hill has only had 6 30+ disposals in 157 games. I rate him as a good midfielder because he has had those 6.

The thing is that market is so changeable and not so clear cut. If it's just us interested in a player then the market value is between two clubs. If another club is partially interested then there's say a 2.5 club market etc etc. Not to mention how willing the club who has the player is to do a deal and/or how strong is their claims on them.

Just on McCarthy though, I reckon what was said they offered to GWS from Freo was a pretty generous offer.

I would suspect that since they(GWS) banned him from playing for South Fremantle they will probably still try playing hardball and extracting one of our higher draft picks and/or an established player. Much as I want to get Cameron into the Purple I'd be inclined to tell them to get stuffed but then who knows what Bondy will do.
