Is anybody else feeling a little uneasy about the situation staring to develop at Essendon.
Just watching Talking Footy and Darcy very timidly raised the possibility of banned players taking less in contracts based upon higher compensation payments. Watson was quite sheepish and conversation moved on very quickly, as is typical in the boys club.
I find it very hard to understand how an employee can pursue legal action against an employer, and remain at that employer on less money than they could receive at another employer.
This to me seems to be sailing very close to the breeze regarding salary cap. I hope tha AFL is very, very transparent on how this unfolds.
