Rhys Palmer is likely to be back at Subi next week. Keep him clear of Michael Barlow.
I've just checked the score Hawks v GWS. Its early in Q4 and the score is 19.11-125 to 9.9-63.
Just as you'd expect, I hear you say.
But its GWS in front, with Stevie J on 5 goals so far, Rory Lobb on 4.
I think I'm depressed about next week already.

As I've said elsewhere it's amazing what a plethora of top 10 picks can do with a little maturing time (like a good red wine). This is an AFL construction to keep the game alive in NSW. Mind you Swans are doing OK also.
Odds next week will be GWS $1.01 Dockers $10+.

Bit selective CA. Go through the GWS list - plenty of top 10 in the starting 22. One or two mature experienced players help - Johnson and Shaw. We have to use the draft to improve our list. Picking up players in the top 10 will help don't you think? Note: Palmer was top 10 and is playing OK footie this season.

Agree DDD although it's not ringing true for GC at the moment. Have lost three in a row.

I remember suggesting that Stevie J could be a good top up player for us this year, not realising of course we would be where we are by Rd 6. Got howled down in that besides the fact we didn't like him(understandable) we also didn't need him.

Plenty of dockerland faithful pay out on Ballas for his dumb acts and cheap shots that get him a bad deal with the umps. Why would we pick up another older player with the same traits?

The best time to play GWS is probably straight after they thrashed the reigning premiers by 12 goals. It will all look too easy for them next week, and providing our kicking straightens up (field and goal) we could cause the "upset of the season so far"

One good reason to have picked him up is that he can kick goals. Has kicked 16 so far this year and is 5th in the goal kicking. Doesn't miss many either.
