Our goal kicking may be crap but statistically 2.11.23 is a score you couldn't get if you tried. There's an element of chance at work here that can hit any team. We probably do it worse because our accuracy is low but this hits every team.
More importantly, I'd like to see a micrometeorology guy on the coaching team. It seems that if the payers had some definite information on where to kick at away grounds we'd be a lot better off - might have even jagged a GF win.
Accurate kicking is a bit of a natural skill. It's hard to diagnose and really hard to get someone who has kicked a football their own way 100,000 times since the age of 5 to change their style. If you look at old B&W footy tapes from the 70s you see just about every skill has improved out of sight except kicking. (And behind play hits.)
