Is it just me or do we seem to have a higher number of critical players not available through injury, and the time for them to return continues to extend.
I read with interest how our program is so far ahead of Gold Coast and how they mismanaged Bennell.
We seem to always take the supposedly conservative approach to ensure the player remains available, and yet they are still not available when needed. I can't remember a finals series when at 2 of our most significant players haven't either missed or been severely restricted.
I don't monitor other teams injury list closely, but I do get annoyed when we are expecting a player back then all of a sudden,2 weeks becomes 6 weeks, or even worse indefinite.
I am obviously am not including Fyfe in this as his is clearly an impact injury and beyond control.
We seem to have gone from Harvey's approach of play them even if they are broken, to a policy where they are never played.
