A few weeks ago, we lost Sandi thanks to a knee in the back.

Yesterday in a similar situation a Port player put a knee into Dangerfield's back. There was a rolling brawl. Legal it may have been, but Geelong didn't just let it stand.

And Alex Rance decided a cheap shot to the head of a Melbourne player who beat him to a mark was in order, and got a fist to his chin for his troubles.

We're very nice aren't we? We've all got a bit too much of the Taberner in us. And the only players we have sho show some genuine mongrel, Subes and De Boer, get dropped.

Response by Geelong to their "star" being injured was what won them the game.

Hawthorn are the best at this. They intimidate other teams and umpires to perform at their best and win games.

Yep, stand up to the bullsh!t from the opposition, what we put up with from the umps is unbelievable. The number of 1 handed handballs again today from the Blues that were not penalised is a joke. Everyone is saying you can't blame the umps for our skill errors. Sure, but when players are called to play on seconds after taking a mark or free kick, pressured from opponents inside the 10 mt zone after being called to play on, continually pushed in the back as they kick the ball, (watch how many times it happens to D Pearce in a game) , not rewarded for tackles that see opponents hold the ball for 360 degrees or more in a tackle, get the ball smothered by players on the mark cribbing 3 or 4 metres on the mark ( Hill) skill errors are going to creep in.

I make no secret that some of my favourite Freo players have not been overly blessed with silky foot skills and after every home game loss our family would make the point to at least see them off the ground, I couldn't argue the case that everyone stay yesterday.
I think this is one of the most insipid Freo sides I ever recall watching, turnstile tackling from the players in the 30 games or so bracket is deplorable.
Weller and Grey showed some much needed G&D.
Along with playing the young blokes we also need to put a few in the shop window.

Phewww, for a moment there I thought our team were crap, but it's good to know that it's only the umpires skill errors that has been forced on them as the pace of the game has increased.
