Yes we are doomed, at least for this year. So let's embrace it, play the kids and get those good picks. It's the only way to rebuild. When Zac Dawson is amongst the better players each week it's time to reasses the list. Who is going to want to come though to a bottom 4 side? The painful thing is the hope and expectation we had all off season had been snuffed out in 5 weeks. Reality has set in, we truly are doomed.

Drubbing we made minor premiers based upon rd 1-9,and particularly in the first part of that run our skills were excellent. Having said that I am now thinking that was an anomaly.
Caught a sound grab of Scott the other day after their 5th win, in which he was saying with their 5-0 start to the season he would be comcerned that they may have overcooked the pre-season, but he feels that they are working into the season. Maybe we overcooked our pre-season last year.

I do remember. It also stopped as quickly against Richmond. If our confidence is that fragile that a big loss at home makes the skill wheels fall off for a year, were in more trouble than we already are.

Yeah, we played really well at the start of last season. But just in case you don't remember, the umpires loved us. Then, quite suddenly, the umpires didn't love us. Sure we actually didn't play as well, but the change in the umpiring was also a factor.

I came home thinking it was the worst game of football I had seen the Dockers play, that Carlton played badly and that the quality of the game was atrocious. I watched the last quarter on TV and I thought the exact opposite - the endeavour was there, the skills weren't bad and the game could have gone either way based on a lucky bounce or two of the ball.
The Dockers could surprise with several wins this year, especially in the second half if they get a few players back.
