Anyone see the game live? Saw on the app they had a win. De boer had it 36 times, langdon 29 and blakely picked up 29 and a goal in his first back from a toe injury.

What is it that changes when these guys get a call up for Freo? Of course it's a tougher level but they never get anything like the amount of disposals that they do for Peel.
Do they play a different role or position and if so how come?

Was at the game, De Boer looked a class above the rest of the players (in looks and ability....), Blakley was good, esp in the 2nd half. Tanner took some good contested marks (but showed a bit of J Riewoldt attitude when the ball didn't get delivered 'correctly').

some do some don't. It depends on roles and quality of opposition - i guess the Pig is more likely to attack at Peel and defend (even forward) at Freo.

Lyon, Hale and Sumich were at the game with the latter two coaching at the breaks.
De boer started well and had a solid game. The Gu also had a good game, started slow but great last quarter when the game was on the line. Blakely given he's been injured took a while to get into it, but showed his class in the last half.

Hannath impressed with great effort around the ground and Tanner Smith is an improved player from 2015, took some good marks.

Suban .....won't be getting a call up based on his game. IMO didnt look impressed at playing in the Magoos. We may miss his hard at it approach tomorrow.

Ibbo couldn't be stuffed showing up .......didn't see him anywhere.

Blair Bell. He's around 20 and only playing his first season of league I think. He was terrific. Hard at it.

De Boer was very good as was Smith. Blakely got heaps of it but his disposal is not flash. Morabito was solid but spoiled a few times when he could have marked. Two of the spoils were snaffled by Tigers forwards for goals.

So what you're saying is Morabito in line for a call up he played exactly how the coaches want our backs to play? Sounds like he did the "team" things Zac D and Sutcliff do every week.
