Chris was drafted with pick 40 near the end of the third round almost 10 years ago. I think he has put in a mighty effort to get the best out of himself. Watching him put his body on the line time and time again, no doubt playing sore in most games. The size of his heart has never been an issue. 150 games is a pretty good return for anyone drafted at 40. Supporters are meant to support, so let's not forget so quickly the great value he has been.

Agree Sharkesman love his toughness and big heart. Why can't we do what Claremont did last week and get him help with goal kicking. You don't just lose the ability to kick you lose confidence. I for one wouldn't want to see him go elsewhere get his confidence back and kill us in games.

I'd definitely want Mayne to stay, I doubt he'll give up his Starlight.
I do, however, think the fwd line is not his best position.
With his closing speed and defensive pressure, there's spots up the field for him.

Mayne badly out of form but could still be valuable down the track. Don't know how much real interest there would be in Clarke. Neale obviously has real value.
Suppose this is where those being critical of our inability to secure big power forward get to see what we are willing to trade. Neale is from South Oz, Adelaide have some handy forwards.
Out of interest though who is unhappy that we missed Cloke and Mitch Clarke, and what they would have cost us. All drafting and trading comes with an element of risk.

If Mayne as a trade helps us snare a working forward, I'd do it. Ablett and a bunch of no names carved us a new one a couple of weeks ago.

The idea that trading Mayne and he comes back to 'hurt us' is pretty naive, he's only one player. Like any other game, you deny their forwards the ball, you're in a better position to win than they are.
