He is back to full training has been for some time. Why not run him into fitness and form at Peel? We need goals, he kicks goals, mature body, proven himself at WAFL level for a few years, blood him ASAP.

That sounds like it could be the size of it MIP. But in all seriousness Yarran is one of those guys who does not need time at WAFL level other than to get a couple of games fitness wise. He needs to be tested at AFL level or like Walters folks will be saying "wow if only we had played him earlier". Come on Ross make a real change up forward.

It seems we rolled the dice a bit with our recruiting this year. Balic was touted as a top ten pick but slipped through to late second round because of two previous wrist injuries. He has injured it again for the third time now and there is questions over his long term future in football. Bennell had a well publicised calf problem that had kept him out of footy a fair bit. Supposedly our physios and fitness plan would be far superior than those amateurs on the gold coast. Now he is out for most the season. And Yarran was recruited with a knee injury from the wafl grand final over 6 months ago and still not playing. On top of that, no one can remember what Apeness looks like. Apparently he's pretty big.

Anyway, these recruits may all be guns in the long term. But I'm guessing there has been a big meeting, or will be soon, where all the back room staff and assistant coaches get yelled at by Ross.

Yes Goodie! Being saying the same here for awhile now. There was a certain smugness in the reporting of our elite programme for Harley compared to those GC chumps and look where we're at now.
So was there an overestimation of our current list when you take so many risks in your recruiting knowing there is a big chance that three of recruits could have limited seasons?
