I'm fed up being calm...it hasnt done me or the team any good!
I'm going to try indifferent or feigned disinterest - I reckon thats the way to go!
Turn up to the match in a lawn bowling outfit or tennis attire - nothing shouts indifferent like a racket at the footy!

You could do what Melbourne supporters do and show up in the skiing gear.

I'm told it feels like you're wearing nothing at all.

I have never been more confident of a victory against NM on Sunday than I am today.

You and me both, dd.

Wait...

That's a lie.

And for those who look at the win-loss record stuff I picked out - which goes back to the date of the first loss in 2015 against Richmond - and are comfortable with the fact that in the short period after that first loss there weren't that many losses, it also says that things have gotten progressively worse since then. And here we are now, thinking that the positive is that things can't get worse. Then they do as internal organs rupture and calving season extends - I fully expect this to become an eternal 2 to 3 weeks very soon.

So, whoop-de-do! Let's all sit quietly and patiently while people with such a strong record of turning things around to get ahead of the pack, do just this. It's what being a footy fan and club member is all about, isn't it?

Really? Ah carp. All this time I thought being a footy fan was all about overpriced watered down beers and long lines every second week for half the year.

...and the alternative action for supporters Mushroom is?...increase stomach acid?...pick up the pitchforks and flaming torches and storm Freo Oval?...run away screaming?...

Mushroom, Chris Bond re-joined the club in October 2007 as General Manager List Development, before becoming GM of Football Operations in 2009. Here's Freo's games won in that time.

2006 - 15
2007 - 10 (Bond joins as list manager)
2008 - 6
2009 - 6 (Bond becomes GM)
2010 - 13
2011 - 9
2012 - 14
2013 - 16
2014 - 16
2015 - 17
2016 - Scared to guess

We could ask Fre-Doh to plot that on a graph, but I'd say, without knowing how much input each party played in the turnaround, he has at least been heavily involved in a club that has gone from 14/16 on the ladder, to the very top. On that evidence, are we not in good hands?

That's like saying that haggis is a great feed...compared to it's pre-excision contents. Just ignore the fact that others are eating crayfish that they caught themselves or stole from somebody else's pots because they got up earlier.

A few things not covered in the discussion about how lucky or not we are to have Bond. We likely have one of the best tactical coaches going around, who has maximised outcomes relative to the available list. Also, given a more balanced approach to recruiting and taking out spectacular failures such as Sylvia, Gumby, Anthony etc and replacing them with half decent players, we may have won a flag or two and not be in the oar less boat we seem to have been in since mid season 2015.

Bond, Lyon, Steves, whomever. This is where we need to go right now.

Morgan, the key period being from 2007 to 2009, that's where the subsequent wins have their roots. A very fertile drafting period indeed. I question what is attributable to Bond in that period. From a drafting standing point since 2012, we have been nothing short of awful. Time to pay the piper.

Now you blame draft position, I blame draft decisions. Bond must leave Fremantle.
