So, for the record, my question was to remind me of which were the best KPPs drafted by Hawthorn, Geelong and Sydney in the last five years?
Is this really the list you want to adduce as evidence of those teams' superior KPP drafting prowess? Because if that's the best you've got, I'm pretty sure you just demonstrated that Chris Bond and his team has selected better KPP's than those teams in the last 5 years.
Jackson Thurlow - medium defender 190cm, was taken before Freo's first pick in the 2012 draft.
Mark Blicavs - ruckman, had pre-existing relationship with Geelong, signed as rookie pick.
Josh Walker - Geelong rookie draft, 3 games in 5 years, worse than Tabs, already traded
James Podsiadly - 86 years old
Zac Smith - Ruckman, Qld zone selection in 2009, traded already. Did I mention he's a ruckman?
Toby Nankervis - Ruckman, and third stringer at that. Sinclair is getting a game before him, as a ruckman / forward. Callum Sinclair!
Dean Towers - Is the same height as Connor Blakely, and is, according to Sydney's own website, a total spud. Ok, they just call him a fringe player who found games hard to come by. At best, a Chris Mayne replacement. Hard to tell after 2 games this season, but it's possible that he's actually worse than Mayne this season, which is surprising, considering Mayne is playing like he actively trying to lose us games.
Mike Pyke - please.
Marc Pittonet - Ruckman. I'm starting to think you either don't know what a KPP is, or you just REALLY love ruckmen.
James Sicily - 189cm mid-sized forward. Not exactly a KPP, but looks a good mark. In that draft, we took Apeness as a key forward, and A Pearce as a key wherever.
Jonathan Ceglar - Another ruckman, not a good one.
Angus Litherland - a tallish running defender. Was drafted in 2010, which was more than 5 years ago. Better than our picks in that draft. 2010 was a shocker!
