Any chance of bringing Luke out of retirement in a straight swap for the artist formerly known as The Fist (more recently referred to as The Traffic Cone or, if in a one-on-one contest, Cuddles)?

Our premiership window has been replaced with a sturdy, fire-proof door so get games into the recruits. De Boer, Mayne, Hendrix, Barlow, Silvagni and Mzungu are all out of contract and none of them are going to take us to a flag. Trade the ones we can and maybe rookie list a few for last resort insurance.

We need to throw the kitchen sink at Neale & Fyfe and get them on 10 year deals (heavily front-ended) ala Buddy and make sure the Hawks don't pinch Hooker from under our noses (I'm talking to you Bond, Chris Bond).

Alex Pearce is going to be a star and Weller & Langdon have genuine pace (not just in relation to the Docker's). Thought we were past the point where our season was over inside the first month but here we are again.

Foot soldiers like De Boer, Suban, Mzungu and C Pearce rack up disposals playing for Peel but never manage the same in the top side.
Same for Weller and Langdon at this stage. Do they all play different roles for Freo?

They played Mayne as a defender in the last quarter and when that donkey, K E Neddy went for a mark, Mayne ran and jumped beside him. No pressure and a he actually acted as a shepherd to protect old Neddy.

Mayne is done. On form, he'll never play AFL level again. Of course that means Roly will select every week as he's done for that 2 years that Mayne hasn't been AFL standard

Get used to this. Sandilands will only play on for one more year. This is how Freo look without a good ruckman. Clarke or Griffin wouldn't have made any difference over the fill ins tonight.

Rolyball with this team peaked in 2013. When the older A grade players were unretired had enough tank to play it, and the also rans were able to do just that, adequately enough to apply pressure.

Mzungu and Mayne have become liabilities, week in week out. Pavlich has clearly had his arm twisted and mind changed to play on this year. He hasn't fired much of a shot in the last two seasons.

Lyon is trying to get blood out of a stone, and doesn't even realise he hasn't got enough stones.

Hypen, the cupboard is barer than it should be thanks to Bond and his slow Victorian midfielder obsession but its not that bare.

Look at how Weller, Pearce A and Langdon are playing. Better than most of our experience types. Get rid of those who cannot make the grade, play the kids and see how many of those can.

ps this season is cactus now and we''ll get nothing out of it if we keep playing the perennial failures, like Roly does now

So hate losing a Derby - it's unbearable.
So hate going to work on Monday after a Derby - it's unbearable.
So hate what has happened this Year so far- it's unbearable and perplexing.
Love the Dockers.
Could never barrack for another team - that would be unbearable.
Thank God for Fyfe and his man bun.
Have to keep supporting our boys, if they can't count on their supporters...

Seriously? People saying the seasons over? We were in this game even with matt d as a ruckman ffs. I hate it when mayne marks inside fifty more than anyone and hope he get dropped to blood some new talent, but this game would have been ours if we had a backup ruck. Unlucky selection but i saw some structures that worked and some heart tonight. Bring back the Griff.
