Sheridan didn't have the best night on Saturday, but he still had a better disposal efficiency than Barlow, Walters, Hill, Mayne, Sandilands, Mundy, Ibbotson and D. Pearce.

Also bearing in mind the week before he was our third highest disposal getter with 27 at a pretty fair 74.1% disposal efficiency.

I'm not too sure it's an overly strong case to drop him this week.

p.s. I wonder how many games you'd have all of Walters (56.3%), Hill (55.2%) and Mundy (47.6%) with such ordinary disposal efficiency?

Let me start by saying that I don't think Sheridan was our worst last week, however I will say that stats are not the only way to measure ones performance, there is no stat for "pathetic attack on the ball" followed by "bad fumble" and concluded by "falling over and watching opposition player run away with the ball" which occurred in one very sad display on Saturday night and resulted in the opposition getting an easy forward entry resulting in a goal.

Further to back this point is that Clancee had statistically good games however has been dropped.

Yes stats do find it hard to account for urine coloured glasses, but they are at least one way we can anchor our thoughts after the emotional experience of watching a game of footy.

And the reason they're giving for Clancee not playing is a hamstring injury, so essentially he wasn't dropped.
