Who played on Kennedy for the Hawks? Obviously did OK. Have we someone who can emulate this performance.
Gibson was brilliant down back have we the equivalent?

The last derby was similar to what we've seen with poor disposal in the first two weeks. We were cut off delivering the ball into our forward line and then the opposition free running into their forward half with their key forwards taking advantage of the space, as well as the mismatches in height. Silvagni had no hope. It was his 2nd game of the season. Johnson had returned temporarily for the first time in 10 weeks but was too lame to run around much. McPharlin and Dawson were injured/suspended. A. Pearce started forward and later went back and competed ok, but it was like a completely new bunch of defenders getting together without being familiar with each others game.

I would pick Silvagni if only to have some of those Weagles think that he might whack one of them again, plus its only fair since they're bringing their biter back.

Dawson has kept Kennedy quiet in one match up. I think it might have been the 2nd Derby in 2014. I was surprised.

Sheridan and Sutcliffe were a bit too similar to have them both in the backline last week. We lacked size and were scored against but our biggest problem was disposal efficiency and that I think can be tweeked.

A Peace is a victim of his own good work, when all our tall backs were injured last year he and Elvis held the fort with Ibbo stepping up to play on the third tall, now the match committee clearly believe we can go in with only two tall defenders, unfortunately one of them is the Spack so Alex gets sent forward where he looks lost and out of place, Memo to Roly, we need 3 talls down back this week.

OK, so clearly the new you-beaut game plan is taking a little time to sink in. Given what was said at the Doig ceremony last year and the latest Docker mag, I'm assuming that the players themselves had some input into the tweaks that were made. If so, the onus is on improvement, and I'm still confident it will turn out better. I hope.
