After an effort like that in Rd 1 either the coach is overrated or our list is....that was as bad as it gets. Nothing positive, beaten all over the ground. The Bears effort against a rampaging WCE was far better than our game.

I know it's early days in terms of 2016, but there is a lot of basic fundamental issues that need to be addressed by the coaching staff. Our skill level remains fairly poor and the structure comes across as predictable and approaching its used by date. There's a lot of talent and experience in that team so where are we going wrong?. We looked out of it from the first bounce. Let's see how we roll next weekend, Gazza is looking tiptop again so we'll need to be up and about. Put the past where it belongs and play some positive creative footy. Ahhhhh....

we pay a lot of players enormous amounts of dollars to play for the club...memo to recruiters, please concentrate on prospects or trades who can actually kick a football, mark cleanly and handball to a fellow player...and who also realise that at times when you handball to your teammate , you may also have to block and shepherd an opposing player from getting to your teammate,,,that would be a start

The Bulldogs at Docklands, is what the Cats at Kardinya Park were a few years ago, very hard for even the top sides to beat. As long as we beat them when it counts is all I would worry about.

It's got nothing to do with the players' abilities or age. If that was the case, Hawthorn would be a bottom 8 side.

It's got everything to do with attitude and "great effort". It is pretty much the same squad that finished top of the ladder last year.

They didn't come to play, so they got pumped. Our squad has very good players and will have Sandilands, Bennell & Johnson coming back in. 11 home wins are guaranteed if the players apply effort. Only 4 away wins are needed in addition to make top 4.

You can start pushing the panic button when Freo start losing home games but until that happens, you play and move on.

Win enough games and percentage doesn't matter, and everyones percentages will change dramatically before the end of the season anyway. Chuck Bennell, Sandi, Johnno and maybe Yarran into the team and things will improve. My biggest concern, and one thing that has not been mentioned yet is the amount of holding and knees, elbows and fists that go into Fyfe without any penalty.

No mention yet of the punch to the jaw on Sutcliffe before the game started which if penalised sees Freo charging into attack from the first contest. Nor the hit to the jaw on Suban which was deemed a free kick, but even though the head is sacrosanct ( as seen in the Pav report) was not deemed worthy of a report.

Mayne puts good pressure in the forward 50 with his tacking and takes the occasional good mark but geez his shots on goal are absolute crap. He is a forward and paid to slot those. I can't believe how badly his form has dropped off, game after game he regularly misses some absolutes sodas. He has lived a charmed life for the past few seasons and its time he was made to earn his spot. Mayne should no longer be an automatic selection. Roly should back up his rhetoric of earning or losing your spot in the team based on your performances.
