For the whole team to play that lack of passion, run, effort etc was strange and we will probably never know why but it sure isn't because the competition evolved past us in one off season.

If we are relying Sutcliffe and Sheridan to win one on ones we are in trouble.do we look slow because we couldn't get our hands on the ball.Yep we have improve our kicking.a lot of practice went into this over the preseason.They didn't have a reckonised ruckman and our ruckman couldn't take advantage.Early days Eagles lost this game las year to the Bulldogs but made the granny.

How can anyone get a touch in our forward line. We move it slowly through the midfield turn it over before it gets there and then kick it to the oppositions advantage when we enter. There seems to be a refusal to send it forward and backwards and lateral movement is always our preferred option.

We won the first 9 games last year, minor premiers, 2 home finals and came up with a big doughnut at the end. I don't think that losing game one by 10 goals, will be bottom of the ladder after round one is going to change anything. At this stage, in the scheme of things, we're tracking nicely. I mean after Roly's presser, he's as calm as I ever seen him. A five year contract would do that. It's the bigger picture, he's eyeing at.
