In all the talk about your Lachie Wellers, and your Blakelys etc versus your Subans and your Clancee Pearces etc - there's a couple of names which are never being mentioned:
I'm talking about your Hayden Croziers and your Anthony Morabitos.
Both are out of the discussion. I wouldn't be surprised to see a player like a Hayden Crozier end up at another club next year - probably a Carlton or a Melbourne. A player like an Anthony Morabito - when I saw Bennell playing in purple, for a split second I thought it was Mora - but there's every chance we could see both of them on the park.
I'm not sure about your Clancee Pearces, but your Maynes and your Subans - those are the blokes you need in the tough games - like your wet windy Saturday afternoons at your Moorabbins or your Western Ovals - players so covered in mud you can't read the jumper numbers, and wafts from the crowd of cigarette smoke, beer, and meat pies with sauce.
